FAQ

Q: DO I NEED TO BE A CHRISTIAN TO PARTICIPATE?

A: No you do not.  As long as you have an interest to learning and reading the bible you can participate.

Q: WHAT BIBLE TRANSLATION DO YOU USE OR SHOULD I USE?

A: You can use any translation you choose and feel comfortable with, as long as it is a Christian bible as that is what our focus is.

Q: WHEN DO YOU START?  AND CAN PERSONS JUMP IN MIDSTREAM AFTER YOU BEGIN?

A: We officially begin this journey on September 14, 2020.  As we proceed, we will have developed materials that will be available to anyone.  Therefore, should a person decide to join after we have begun, support will still be available and they will have access to all the resources that was covered by us.  The entire program will be divided up into units for each book of the bible, so persons can easily find resources they need depending on where they are.  Remember also that our Private group is opened to all questions and comments, so persons will be able to get support and help any time!

Q: DO I HAVE TO USE THE STUDY GUIDES YOU RECOMMEND OR CAN I USE MY OWN?

A: We would love for you to be able to use your own, but because we want to keep the process in order and consistent and we are using those books to guide us, we are afraid that we cannot accommodate another guide at this time.

Q: THE BIBLE STUDY GUIDES MUST SURELY BE LEANING IN ONE DENOMINATION MORE THAN ANOTHER, WHAT DENOMINATION DOES IT SUPPORT?

A: The Bible Study program do not actually teach you anything or even tell you anything.  They simply instruct you to read your own bible and then ask you thought-provoking questions which you will answer on your own.  There is no one to mark your answers right or wrong.  Even in our commentaries, they are simply discussions with persons telling you what they get from the reading, it is up to you to take away from it all something that resonates with your spirit.  Remember that a scripture will mean something to someone based on where they are in their life’s journey.

Q: YOU MENTIONED A CERTIFICATE.  WILL EVERYONE RECEIVE THIS CERTIFICATE OR IS THERE A CRITERIA?

A: Great question.  There is a simple requirement.  Each person at the end of each week, will be required to answer questions in their study guide book, we ask that they also take a snapshot of their written page and submit it to us.  Once we have a submission of every book of the bible, that person will receive their certificate.

Q:  DO YOU HAVE ANY GROUP POLICIES?

A:  We ask that each member is respectful to each other at ALL times.  We will not discuss politics or make any reference to current affairs even if it could be used to prove a point.  We will not tolerate religious debates, this is a bible reading group and we can proceed along our journey without religious debates.  What we encourage is respectful discussion on any topic in our reading and the discussion could be won on the side of scriptural reference(s). We are not required to agree with each other, but to agree to disagree. No one is allowed to post any links referring to anything aside from their direct work and study.  Failing to abide by these policies will result in suspension from the group, and if persists, then permanent removal.
